The Calcutta High Court is the constitutional court for this city. Civil and sessions work is heard in the city civil and sessions courts, including the complex associated with Bankshall Street, and in the other courts of the city such as Alipore. Family courts, magistrates, and the consumer commissions keep their own lists.
